Michael Inchbald was in the first rank of interior designers; together with a host of prestigious design projects, he worked at the Savoy and Berkeley hotels, designed ‘The Queen’s Room’ of the QE2 thought by many to be the most successful interior on any ocean liner and was consulted about the redecoration of Buckingham Palace.
